The same person can become more or less available
The same person can feel alert and capable one morning and depleted the next. Confident in one room and diminished in another. Patient with one person and reactive with someone else.
We often treat those differences as evidence about character. SHAPED asks what conditions helped produce them – and what else might become available if those conditions changed.
The behaviour was real. The conclusion may not be.
I wrote SHAPED because people are often judged from too little evidence
My work across commercial, health, care, housing and innovation — and my experience of family life, sport, loss and change — has repeatedly shown me the same thing: context changes what people can access, express and sustain.
I write to help readers see those conditions more clearly, find the action that remains and build better evidence about what may still be possible.
